YXS Profile: Boundary RoadThe Boundary Road announcement made in Vancouver by Premier Gordon Campbell and Prince George-Peace River M.P. Jay Hill on Sept. 25, 2009 was great news to the Prince George Airport Authority. “This announcement was confirmed at a perfect time in our planning stage. We are coming off of a successful Northern Pacific Gateway Trade and Investment Forum, hosted in conjunction with Initiatives Prince George and the Port of Prince Rupert, and with our cargo apron now complete, we are fully able to compete in market opportunities”, says John Gibson, President and CEO of the PGAA. “We are very thankful for the Federal and Provincial Governments continued support and investment in the North Pacific Corridor Project. This announcement demonstrates the commitment by our Provincial and National leadership in developing Canada as an International Gateway”, states Jim Blake, Chair of the PGAA. The Boundary Road Connector will link Highway 97 South to Highway 16 East, creating easy highway access for the future Airport Logistics Park. |
